Job summary

Bartlett Consolidated DE, LLC, headquartered in Plymouth, MA, is seeking an Estimator to prepare cost estimates for infrastructure and road projects across MA and RI. You will analyze plans, interpret DOT standards, and develop competitive estimates while coordinating with sales, billing, and operations teams.

The role requires 2–4 years in estimating, a related degree or equivalent experience, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to job sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in estimating, bidding, or project coordination preferably in roadway infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Valid state issued driver’s license subject to MVR evaluation.
• Estimating experience in fencing preferred

Position Summary

Bartlett Consolidated DE, LLC provides traffic infrastructure repair and services to clients throughout the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Estimator is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and preparing cost estimates for a variety of infrastructure and road construction projects. This role is critical to operations and customer support as it is responsible for evaluating project specifications, interpreting DOT standards, and developing accurate and competitive estimates. The Estimator collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

• Search appropriate databases for new projects and job opportunities.
• Identify, analyze and interpret plans and DOT standards to develop appropriate estimates.
• Identify and provide deviations from bid requests including scope and specifications.
• Utilize appropriate standards and historical data to develop appropriate pricing estimates.
• Present cost estimates to customers.
• Manage and maintain data to show bid status and bid award performance.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, DOT drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation for materials, labor and equipment.
• Experience using estimating software and CRM platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess project risks and complexities.
• Excellent Time Management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze trends and prepare summary reports.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors and clients.

Required/ Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in estimating, bidding, or project coordination preferably in roadway infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in any related field; Construction, Civil Engineering, etc. a plus but not required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Valid state issued driver’s license subject to MVR evaluation.
• Estimating in fencing preferred

Work Location

Bartlett Consolidated DE, LLC headquarters is in Plymouth, MA. This position will be based out of headquarters with travel to job sites as needed.
