Job summary

RealREPP, a Northeast-focused construction estimator firm, seeks an Asphalt Paving Estimator to help win public and private DOT/infrastructure projects. You will support the Chief Estimator, prepare bid packages, and review progress while maintaining historical data and records.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, a related bachelor's degree, and proficiency with B2W/HCSS/Agtek. Strong communication and deadline management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CM, engineering, architecture, math, or related field.
• Ability to read drawings and specs to determine work requirements.
• Prior experience with B2W or HCSS.
• Familiarity with Agtek.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job description

The selected Asphalt Paving Estimator will play a key role in winning public and private work in the Northeast market with a heavy emphasis on DOT and infrastructure. Prior experience estimating heavy civil projects of similar size and scope for a general engineering contractor is preferred, but other estimating experience will be considered. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Estimator and other team members with preparation of bid packages.
• Review progress on projects and adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain and update database of relevant resources and historical data.
• Keep records of all project details and documentation such as contracts, bids, and correspondence.
• Determine initial production rates.
• Estimate materials costs and labor hours needed to complete projects.
• Solicit material and subcontractor pricing.
• Review finished products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
• Work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant construction estimating experience
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Math or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Ability to interpret drawings and specs to determine work requirements
• Prior experience working with B2W or HCSS
• Familiarity with Agtek
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines
