Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in Paramus, NJ is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare quotes for doors, frames, and hardware. You will review blueprints and specifications to ensure feasibility and compliance, and collaborate with customers and contractors to clarify scope and manage expectations.

The role supports quote follow-up, solves project challenges, and coordinates across teams for lead times and delivery. A strong analytical mindset and MS Office/ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of estimating experience or 1+ year from hollow metal/doors industry.
• Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, or engineering drawings.
• Comfort working directly with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with building materials industry and codes is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/order management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot project and production challenges as they arise
