Job summary

Stark Tech in Orlando is seeking an experienced HVAC estimator to join our facilities and energy solutions team. You will leverage computer estimating systems to prepare accurate plan/spec and design/build estimates, maintain logs and unit costs, and foster essential vendor relationships to keep projects on track.

You will also conduct site surveys, participate in pre-bid walkthroughs, and collaborate with sales and project management to ensure projects align with plans and budgets while

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of estimating experience in HVAC industry.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and construction documents.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of related trades for coordinating estimates.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Estimate plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems using estimating software.

Job Requirements

You'll be tasked with maintaining comprehensive estimating logs and unit costs for all projects, while also establishing and nurturing vendor relationships crucial to project success. Conducting site surveys and participating in pre‑bid walkthroughs will be part of your routine to ensure thorough project understanding. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with sales and project management teams, ensuring projects are executed within budget and in alignment with plans and specifications.

Work Experience

• Associate's degree in business or engineering.
• 2-5 years of estimating experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents.
• Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of related trades for the purposes of coordinating various project estimates.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and proficient computer skills.
