Job summary

JDC Demo & Abatement, LLC. is seeking an experienced Demolition & Abatement Estimator to oversee complex projects in the Boston area, including structural demolition, selective interior demolition, and hazardous material abatement.

You will prepare accurate cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation, and will coordinate with project managers, vendors, and clients to support competitive bidding and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in demolition and abatement
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or related field
• Experience bidding jobs in downtown Boston and surrounding suburbs
• Flexible with time commitment, possible weekend work
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Review documents, drawings, pricing, bonds, insurance and minority reporting
• Bid all jobs, all pricing, all scopes
• Scope reviews with general contractors
• Coordinate with project manager for kickoff meeting once project is awarded
• Assist project manager with closeout of projects
• Utilize construction management software including Microsoft Project, Procore and Sage 300 CRE

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Demolition & Abatement Estimator to oversee complex projects involving structural demolition, selective interior demolition, and hazardous material abatement. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complex projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of specialty trades, excellent math and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, vendors, and clients. This is a key position that supports competitive bidding and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all documents, drawings, pricing, bonds, insurance and minority reporting
• Bid all jobs, all pricing, all scopes
• Scope reviews with general contractors
• Package together with project manager for kick off meeting once project is awarded
• Assist Project Manager, if needed, with full close out of projects
• Software Proficiency:Utilize construction management software including:
• Microsoft Project
• Procore
• Sage 300 CRE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of demolition and abatement.
• Experience bidding jobs in downtown Boston and in suburbs
