The Boyd Group in Montgomery, AL is seeking an Estimator to provide an exceptional customer experience, create accurate estimates, and coordinate repair needs. You will communicate with customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process and document vehicle damage and required parts replacement.

The role requires knowledge of DRP guidelines, strong communication, and the ability to work with the team to meet KPIs. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Experience with auto body estimation and repair coordination.
  • Knowledge of DRP/insurance processes and requirements.
  • Proficiency in documenting repairs, parts replacement, and estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure every customer interaction is documented and updated with details.
  • Provide accurate information and guide customers through the repair process.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance client requirements and DRP processes.
  • Adhere to WOW Operating Ways for customer drop-offs, repair planning, and communication.
  • Communicate customer requests to the team.
  • Present a positive and professional greeting to customers in person and on the phone.
  • Understand insurance programs and procedures.
  • Participate in daily production walks with the Management Team.
  • Support team members as needed and attend training sessions.

Job Description: The Estimator’s primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while creating estimates, coordinating repair needs for customers including all communication, informing and updating customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately assesses the damage of vehicles and documents needed repairs and parts replacement on the damage appraisal. The Estimator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility's KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure every customer interaction is documented, updated efficiently and accurately with pertinent details
  • Provide Customer with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process and ensuring that they receive excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with all insurance client requirements, processes and metrics
  • Ensure compliance with all WOW Operating Ways regarding customer drop-offs, repair planning, customer communication, and delivery
  • Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members
  • Provides positive energy when greeting customers in person and on the phone
  • Understanding of all required Insurance programs and procedures
  • Participate in daily “production walks” with the Management Team, as required
  • Support all team members when required
  • Participate in monthly Health & Safety and staff meeting (if required)
  • Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Store Manager
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

Knowledge of Repairs and OE Guidelines High School Diploma or equivalent Awareness of where to look for answers Basic Computer Skills Compliance for DRP’s Minimum of 1-year experience Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Awareness of where to look for answers Basic Computer Skills Compliance for DRP’s Minimum of 1-year experience Must be willing to complete I-CAR Training Valid Driver’s License
