The successful candidate will read drawings, perform takeoffs, and support value engineering while managing multiple bids to meet deadlines and improve bid consistency and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project proposals for electrical and low-voltage projects.

• Prepare pricing for change orders, revisions, and modifications.

Job Overview

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estimator to support electrical and low-voltage structured cabling projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimating professional who enjoys analyzing construction plans, coordinating vendor pricing, and developing accurate, competitive project proposals.

In this role, you will prepare timely, compliant estimates and support key pre-construction activities, including vendor coordination and value engineering. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and committed to accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines while contributing to improved bid consistency, faster turnaround times, and greater overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project proposals for electrical and low-voltage structured cabling projects.

• Perform material and labor takeoffs using construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate and competitive pricing.

• Support value engineering efforts while maintaining company standards and project requirements.

• Prepare pricing for change orders, revisions, and project modifications.

• Maintain estimating templates, pricing libraries, and related documentation using QuoteWerks.

• Review proposals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

• Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.

• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, suppliers, and company leadership throughout the estimating process.

• Help improve estimating procedures, consistency, turnaround times, and overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical estimating, low-voltage estimating, or a related construction estimating role preferred.

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.

• Familiarity with electrical estimating software, particularly IntelliBid Electrical Estimating.

• Experience with QuoteWerks or similar estimating and proposal management software is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to develop accurate estimates while following established company procedures and documentation standards.

Compensation & Growth Opportunities

• Annual Salary: $65,000 – $85,000, based on experience and qualifications.
