Owen-Ames-Kimball in Lansing, MI, is seeking an Estimator to lead preconstruction and cost estimation for commercial projects. You will perform quantity takeoffs, develop detailed cost models, review drawings, and support bidding strategy with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and technical docs.
• Proficiency with estimating tools (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

About this opportunity

Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. is hiring an Estimator for our Central Region based in Lansing, MI to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for commercial construction projects of varying size and complexity. This role works closely with preconstruction, operations, design partners, and subcontractors to develop accurate cost estimates, support bidding strategy, and ensure well‑coordinated, high‑quality project outcomes.
