Job summary

EnerMech in Perth is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop accurate, commercially robust estimates and pricing strategies for industrial services projects. You will work with Operations teams and subject matter experts to optimise delivery, assess risks, and produce winning tender submissions.

You will lead cost models, analyse key cost drivers, and contribute to tender reviews and governance, supporting EnerMech's growth across energy and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, tendering, project controls or related disciplines.
• Experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy or Infrastructure industries.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel.
• Experience in industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of project costing, pricing and commercial drivers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical info into cost models under tight deadlines.

About the Role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate, commercially robust estimates and pricing strategies for a variety of industrial services projects. Working closely with Operations teams and technical subject matter experts, you will help optimise delivery solutions, assess risks, and develop winning tender submissions.

You will be a critical contributor throughout the tender process, ensuring cost models are accurate, competitive, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed labour, equipment, material, and subcontract cost estimates.
• Build tender pricing models and support the development of project P&L forecasts.
• Collaborate with Operations and Technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to optimise delivery methodologies and execution plans.
• Analyse key cost drivers, productivity assumptions, and resource requirements.
• Conduct market benchmarking and competitive analysis to support pricing strategies.
• Lead cost risk assessments and assist with contingency development.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical benchmarks, and lessons learned registers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience in estimating, tendering, project controls, commercial, or related disciplines.
• Experience in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Energy or Infrastructure industries will be highly regarded.
• Strong analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience within industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns, oil & gas, resources, mining, energy, or similar industries.
• A strong understanding of project costing, pricing, and commercial drivers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• The ability to review technical information and translate it into accurate cost models.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
