Bowers + Kubota Consulting seeks an Estimator to oversee the production of cost estimates for projects assigned by the client’s documents, including coordination of preparation and final bid pricing for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit (HART) project. The role requires accuracy, and experience with cost databases and estimating software is preferred.

Qualification includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture, 5–8 years of related experience, CCP certification preferred,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field.
• 5–8 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with RSMeans Cost Database, Sage 300, Econpack, PACES, MCACES MII.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Review estimates and revisions to assure accuracy and coverage of the intended scope of work.
• Facilitate and run Cost & Schedule Risk Analysis Studies.

• Ability to create an estimate where predetermined standard(s) are not available.

The Estimator is responsible for preparing and coordinating preparation of full estimates on projects required by client’s documents and provides total bid price. This position is at the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit (HART).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or like field.
• 5 – 8 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Currently a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with software programs such as, RSMeans Cost Database, Sage 300, Econpack, PACES, MCACES MII.
• Able to operate in a professional office environment.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time while working on the computer and communicating with various customers via telephone and video links.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Positive service-oriented attitude toward the firm, our employees, and the clients.

$90,000-$110,000 per year depending on experience
