Job summary

WES Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead construction estimates from takeoff through bid submission. This hands-on role involves takeoffs, pricing work, and coordinating with subs and vendors for pricing on public infrastructure projects.

You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and help prepare bid forms while collaborating with ownership to drive accurate, competitive bids. A strong network of subs and utility/work experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in self-perform site and utility work and/or water/wastewater.
• Experience completing lump sum and unit price bids with understanding of bid forms and public bidding processes.
• Proficient with on-screen takeoff using ProEst, Insite or similar software.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple bids simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills; network of subs/vendors is a plus.

The Estimator at WES Construction is responsible for leading construction estimates from takeoff through bid submission. This is a hands on estimating position where you will take-off and price work, in addition to reaching out to subs and vendors for pricing. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at a stable company with over 75 years in business. This role will report directly to company ownership.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for all material, labor, and equipment across civil, structural, and architectural drawings
• Review plans and specifications to ensure thorough coverage and identify areas of risk and opportunity
• Solicit and review bids from material suppliers and subcontractors
• Partner with ownership to compile and review bid forms primarily for public infrastructure projects
• Participate in pre-construction planning and hand-off of project to project manager

We Are Seeking a Candidate With

• A minimum of 5 years estimating experience ideally in self-perform site and utility work and/or water and wastewater
• Experience completing lump sum and unit price bids with understanding of bid forms and public bidding processes
