Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 + Benefits
With annual revenues of approximately $250m-$300m and an established waterproofing division generating around $20m, this Southern California commercial contractor has the scale, reputation and project pipeline to offer an experienced estimator a significant next step.
Their strategy is simple. Build on an established public works business, expand further into private commercial projects, and bring in the specialist talent needed to support that growth.
For a waterproofing estimator, this creates a unique opportunity. You'll be joining a business where your technical expertise can directly influence the growth of an already substantial division, with experienced leadership, small teams where your contribution matters, and a strong history of promoting from within.
Estimators are often measured by the work they produce but rarely given the opportunity to influence the wider direction of the business. Here, your specialist knowledge will play a direct part in the projects the company pursues and the work it wins.
Alongside the base salary and benefits you'll:
You’ll take ownership of estimating commercial waterproofing projects, working primarily from blueprints and bid packages received through general contractors across Southern California.
You’ll prepare accurate and competitive estimates, complete takeoffs using Bluebeam, and build project pricing through the company's Excel estimating process. Understanding the full scope of work and the practical requirements of installation will be essential to producing bids that support profitable delivery.
Projects cover a broad range of specialist waterproofing and restoration work, including below-grade systems, slab membranes, vertical walls, parking decks, expansion joints, spall repairs, and epoxy and polyurethane injection.
This position requires dedicated waterproofing estimating expertise; occasional waterproofing exposure within a predominantly roofing background will not be sufficient.
