Role Description The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Fremont, CA, responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for casework and cabinetry projects. In this role, the Estimator reviews architectural plans, specifications, and bid documents to quantify materials, labor, and related costs. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project requirements, requesting and reviewing vendor quotes, preparing bid proposals, and updating pricing databases. The Estimator collaborates closely with project managers, engineering, and production teams to clarify scope, identify value-engineering opportunities, and ensure estimates align with manufacturing capabilities. This role also involves communicating with clients and general contractors, tracking bid deadlines, and supporting the handoff from bid award to project execution.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with estimating or construction-related software such as Bluebeam Revu, as well as general computer skills (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email).
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and project priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, takeoffs, and cost calculations.
  • Experience in Commercial Millwork as a Drafter, Engineer, PM or Estimator is a must.
  • Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, drafting, or a related field is preferred.
