Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services in Framingham, MA seeks an Estimator with 4+ years in construction estimating to review solicitation documents, develop scopes, and solicit subcontractor quotes for bids.

You will evaluate proposals, prepare price analyses, and coordinate with the design team on design-build RFPs to support winning proposals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in the construction industry.
• BS in Engineering or Construction Management desired.
• Experience with fixed price, design-build, and/or self-perform estimating is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review project solicitation documents for accuracy and completeness and develop questions related to the assigned scope.
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations and prepare bid document packages.
• Develop scope of work packages through narratives, checklists, and quantity take-off.
• Evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for accuracy (quantities, schedule, inclusions/exclusions).
• Prepare subcontractor/vendor price analysis sheets.

Salary: USD100000 - USD130000 per year

Framingham, MA

• Review project solicitation documents for accuracy and completeness and develop questions as they relate to assigned scope of work
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations, prepare and distribute bid document packages, respond to inquiries, being knowledgeable of respective scopes of work and responsibilities
• Develop scope of work packages to define project work requirements through narratives, checklists, and quantity take-off
• Evaluate and analyze subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accuracy in scope. (Quantities, schedule, inclusions, exclusions, etc.)
• Prepare subcontractors/vendors price analysis sheets
• Coordinate with design team, on design-build RFP’s, to support development of proposals

Skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to understand construction documents and develop scopes of work
• Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word primarily)
• Working knowledge of On-Screen take-off software or similar a plus
• Working knowledge of estimating software - Sage Estimating (Timberline) experience a plus

Experience

• 4 + years of experience in the construction industry
• BS in Engineering or Construction Management desired
• Experience in fixed price, design-build, and/ or self-perform construction estimating a plus
• Experience with Government projects a plus
