Job summary

Renova One seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for flooring, renovation, and restoration projects. You will analyze requirements, review blueprints, and provide detailed proposals for competitive and profitable bids.

In this fully in-office role, you will collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to define scope, secure vendor quotes, and maintain organized bid records while delivering precise cost breakdowns and supporting contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in flooring, construction, or renovation.
• Experience in floorcovering estimating/installation.
• Strong understanding of materials, labor costs, and installation processes.
• Commercial flooring experience would be a plus.
• Experience in field supervision/project management in flooring.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs, blueprints and site conditions to develop accurate estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for bids.
• Collaborate with sales, PMs, and clients to define scope and expectations.
• Obtain vendor quotes and ensure pricing accuracy and availability.

• Provide cost breakdowns during contract negotiations.
• Monitor market trends and adjust estimates to stay competitive.
• Coordinate with internal teams to improve estimating processes.
• Track past project costs to refine future estimates.

JOB SUMMARY

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the bidding and project planning process by preparing accurate cost estimates for flooring, renovation, and restoration projects. You will analyze project requirements, review blueprints, communicate with vendors, and provide detailed proposals to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Your attention to detail and industry knowledge will help drive project success and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability
• Work closely with sales, project managers, and clients to clarify project scope and expectations
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate pricing and availability
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and submit estimates in a timely manner
• Assist in contract negotiations by providing cost breakdowns and alternative solutions when needed
• Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry pricing to maintain competitive estimates
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine estimating processes and improve accuracy
• Track and analyze past project costs to enhance future estimating strategies
• Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and project costs for reporting and reference

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of experience in estimating within the flooring, construction, or renovation industry
• Experience in floorcovering estimating/installation
• Strong understanding of materials, labor costs, and installation processes for flooring and renovations
• Commercial flooring experience would be a plus
• Some experience in Field supervision/Project Management in flooring
• Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and blueprint reading
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
