Michael Page US is seeking a skilled Estimator for garden-style multifamily projects in the Columbus area. This role requires proficiency in wood-frame construction, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, and bid analysis, with strong communication and organizational abilities.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with remote work and one day in the office weekly, a base salary in the $100k–$120k range, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating garden-style multifamily projects.
• Strong understanding of wood-frame multifamily construction.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, and bid analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for multifamily construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and potential cost risks.
• Develop competitive bids while maintaining project profitability.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and preconstruction teams throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Participate in bid reviews and turnover meetings.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Track market pricing and maintain up-to-date estimating information.

Job Description
