Job summary

Hamilton Parker is seeking an Estimator in Columbus, OH to perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates for commercial construction projects including doors, frames, and hardware. You will collaborate with sales to ensure data accuracy and timely quotes while applying building codes and product information.

The role requires strong math, reading drawings, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Prophet21 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Commercial estimating experience preferred or required.
• Knowledge of doors, frames and hardware preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Solid understanding of the commercial construction process.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Prophet21.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Perform take-offs and estimates for Division 8 and ten commercial construction products. This includes, but not limited to doors, frames, and hardware along with restroom accessories and partitions. The Estimator must reflect and represent Hamilton Parker’s core values, H.E.A.R.T. (History, Enthusiastic, Adaptive, Reputable, Team-oriented).

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, thorough, and timely quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other supplied information.
• Compile legible quotes for submission to clients.
• Provide problem-solving solutions using building codes, product information, and experience.
• Review the estimate with the sales team to ensure that data is accurate, and that all components of the project are properly captured and properly charged.
• Modify estimates per customer or Account Specialists requests.
• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels and with potential customers.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
