Job summary

Dugan & Meyers is seeking an Estimator to support bidding and cost-forecasting on commercial and civil construction projects. The role emphasizes accuracy in estimating sitework, concrete, and related scopes while collaborating with project teams throughout preconstruction and execution.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Construction Management or Engineering, at least five years of estimating experience, and proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam to prepare competitive bids and value engineering

• 5 years commercial construction experience and a solid background in estimating for sitework, concrete and civil projects.
• Experience with preconstruction to closeout and strong collaboration with project teams.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in commercial concrete and civile or water treatment work who also brings prior Project Management experience. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project scopes, and assisting in project planning and execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and understands both the technical and operational aspects of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for sitework, concrete, and civil projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements.

• Develop budgets and value engineering options to optimize project costs.
• Transition successful bids to operations, supporting project kickoff and scheduling.
• Utilize prior project management experience to provide input on constructability, sequencing, and cost impacts.
• Track bid results and maintain relationships with clients and trade partners.

Qualifications

• 5 years commercial construction experience, BS in Construction Management or Engineering, software proficiency (Excel, Bluebeam).
• Experience with concrete, earthwork. Prior experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
