Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Structural Steel Estimator for a North Carolina fabricator with a substantial secured backlog extending into late 2027. You will prepare material and labour takeoffs from drawings, price steel packages, and coordinate vendor pricing and bid documents.

You will collaborate with estimating, engineering and project management teams, managing multiple bid deadlines and developing broader estimating skills within a growing team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience, ideally in structural steel.
• Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills.
• Confidence managing multiple bid deadlines.
• Experience with Tekla, Lift AI and Procore.
• An organised, proactive and collaborative approach.

This is an opportunity to join an established fabricator with a substantial secured backlog extending into late 2027, alongside continued bidding activity.

The business is expanding its estimating capacity and looking for someone who can hit the ground running while developing their wider estimating skills.

THE ROLE

• Prepare material and labour takeoffs from drawings and models.
• Price structural steel packages accurately and competitively.
• Coordinate vendor pricing, scopes and bid documents.
• Support budgets, change requests and project handovers.
• Work alongside estimating, engineering and project management teams.
