Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group partners with an established structural steel fabricator to recruit an experienced estimator for the Atlanta area. You will read drawings, prepare takesoffs, and help shape bids on major steel projects.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in structural steel estimating, strong blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with Tekla, Lift AI, and Procore. This is a collaborative team with backlog and ongoing bid activity.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of estimating experience in structural steel.
• Strong ability to read complex blueprints and models.
• Proficient with Tekla, Lift AI and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material and labour takeoffs from drawings and models.
• Review vendor pricing and subcontractor scopes.

What you’ll do

• Prepare material and labour takeoffs from drawings and models

• Prepare proposals, budgets, alternates and exclusions
• Support project handovers and change pricing

What we’re looking for

• An experienced estimator, ideally with 5–10 years’ experience
• A strong structural steel estimating background
• Confidence reading complex blueprints and models
• Proficiency in Tekla, Lift AI and Procore
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple bid deadlines
