Job summary

Destructable Inc. in Amarillo, TX seeks an Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for wind turbine decommissioning and recycling projects, covering labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and disposal costs.

You will analyze plans, obtain quotes, prepare bid proposals, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure accurate pricing and on-schedule project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, environmental science, business, or related field.
  • 3+ years estimating experience in construction, demolition, recycling, or renewable energy; wind decommissioning preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, equipment, and materials for decommissioning and recycling.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, waste disposal, and recycling practices.
  • Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

  • Assist in post-bid reviews, change orders, and cost tracking during project execution.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, recycling technologies, and regulatory requirements related to wind energy decommissioning.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in construction, demolition, recycling, or renewable energy sectors; experience in wind decommissioning is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, equipment, and materials relevant to decommissioning and recycling.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, waste disposal, and recycling practices.
  • Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
