Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply is seeking an Estimating Specialist to review plans, prepare accurate estimates, and create quotes for contractors and customers. You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams, manage multiple estimates, and maintain detailed CRM records to follow up on opportunities.

The role requires strong math, analytical and communication skills, plus attention to detail and organizational abilities to handle several projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in construction, building materials, millwork, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and reading plans/specifications.
• Strong math, computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with CRM systems, follow-up, and recordkeeping.
• Material takeoff experience and familiarity with millwork pricing software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate project estimates.
• Create quotes and material takeoffs for contractors and customers.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain detailed project records and follow up on opportunities in the CRM system.
