Job summary

SST Direct is actively seeking an Estimating Manager for a leading ship repair company in Hawaii. This role encompasses leading the Estimating Department, providing mentorship to staff, and overseeing the bid process for Navy projects.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of marine experience, strong knowledge of NAVSEA standards, and a proven ability to handle complex contracts. Relocation assistance is provided along with competitive compensation and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of ship repair or marine industry experience.
• 5+ years of management experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Estimating Department's daily operations.
• Supervise Sr. Estimators and support staff.
• Perform final review of complex cost estimates and bid packages.
• Negotiate contract changes and manage change orders.
• Support business development efforts.
