Job summary

Ace Technologies, LLC is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead the divisional estimating team and drive bid strategy for profitable projects. You will supervise staffing, guide takeoffs, and coordinate with operations and leadership on pricing decisions.

The role requires 7+ years in systems/low-voltage estimating, strong budgeting and blueprint interpretation, and collaboration with vendors and engineers. This is an on-site position in a climate-controlled office with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directly leads, develops, and manages the estimating team, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and ensuring team productivity and consistency.
• Drives estimating strategy, bid selection, and risk evaluation, partnering with operations and executive leadership to influence which projects to pursue and how they are priced.
• Perform all aspects of systems/low-voltage estimating including composing BOMs, performing takeoffs, inputting takeoff data, submitting RFIs, and writing proposals.
• Assist the estimating team to coordinate and streamline the bid process on each individual project.
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
