Job summary

Upgrade Resources is seeking an Estimating Manager for commercial construction in Dallas. The role is hybrid (1 day per week from home) with a salary range of $105,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience.

You will prepare complex cost estimates, develop economical construction methods, and coordinate with operations, field staff, and clients. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial estimating experience, strong trade relationships, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Established positive trade partner relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and construction estimating software; ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel, including overnight trips; ability to work non-traditional hours.
• 5+ years of total construction experience with $50M+ project estimates; Lean or Revit knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Lead bid solicitation, pricing, and coordination with vendors and subs.
• Develop scopes of work for all trades and manage the responsibility matrix.
• Create material and cost summaries from vendor quotes and bid-day packages.
• Collaborate with operations and field staff to optimize constructability and cost.
• Mentor junior staff and build strong relationships with teams and clients.
