Job summary

Faith Technologies Inc. is seeking an Estimating Intern to work closely with the Estimating, Project Management, and Preconstruction teams. The role focuses on enhancing industry knowledge and career progression within the company.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in construction-related programs and proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Accubid and blueprint reading is preferred. 5-15% travel and a Monday–Friday schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited institution and actively working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or relevant program.
• No previous work experience is required. However, relevant coursework or internships related to construction or project management will be advantageous.
• Travel: 5-15%
• Work Schedule: 7 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday; flexible schedule may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Reviews specification information and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Attends job site walk-throughs with Senior Estimator and/or Estimating Supervisor as necessary.
• Organizes bid components to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Performs takeoffs electronically on screen and from drawings (e.g., circuiting and scaling drawings, counting devices and equipment).
• Consults with clients, vendors, foremen, superintendents, and project managers to discuss and formulate estimates.
• Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Finalizes and follows up on completed bids.
• Processes miscellaneous paperwork.
