Weis Builders is offering an Assistant Estimator Intern position in Minneapolis, MN. You will assist the estimating team with cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid documentation as part of a hands-on internship.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Construction Management or related degree with a 3.0+ GPA, enjoy teamwork, and have strong math and analytical skills. Proficiency with MS Office is required; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications and other documentation.
• Conduct takeoffs from drawings to estimate material quantities and costs.
• Support senior estimators in gathering and analyzing pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Help prepare bid proposals and documentation for submission.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and bid submissions.
