Job summary

Weis Builders invites a motivated student to join as an Assistant Superintendent Intern in Minneapolis. The intern will support construction teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and assist with site operations, schedules, and budgets.

It’s a hands-on learning role designed to build project-management skills. The program emphasizes safety, learning from industry professionals, and increasing responsibility as the project progresses.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a similar construction program.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate leadership potential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a project team to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of construction projects.
  • Assist in managing on-site subcontractors, ensuring smooth operations and communication.
  • Participate in the oversight of project schedules and budget management.
  • Learn and apply Quality Best Practices to ensure project standards are met or exceeded.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Gain valuable exposure by interacting with industry professionals such as subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners.
  • Demonstrate eagerness to learn and adapt, with an increasing level of responsibility throughout the internship.
