Weis Builders is offering a hands-on Project Engineer Intern internship in Minneapolis, designed for sophomores and juniors. This immersive program provides real-world experience with subcontractors, architects, and owners, spanning estimating, project management, and field operations.

Many of our interns return for multiple summers, gaining a broad range of experience across estimating, project management, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in exciting projects, helping ensure they are completed on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget
  • Assist in writing and negotiating contracts and change orders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project partners
  • Contribute to the development and management of production schedules

Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a similar construction program
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • A desire to take initiative, problem‑solve, and contribute to successful project outcomes
  • Previous industry experience is a plus, but not required
