Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required.
• Able to review plans and specs with understanding.
• Experience with Excel is expected.
• Good math and analytical skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with strong task closure by deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs focusing on accuracy.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare documents for budgeting and bidding from subcontractors.
• Prepare scopes of work for trades with no gaps.
• Analyze proposals for completeness and accuracy.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors/suppliers.
• Assist with pricing qualifications and final assembly of estimates.
• Develop Value Engineering opportunities for client and architect.
