Qualifications

• Enrolled student in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of estimating concepts is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with estimating software (InEight, HeavyBid, HCSS, Bid2Win, Agtek, Planswift, Bluebeam) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to help determine scope of work and costs.
• Bid proposal support: help perform takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals under supervision.
• Cross-team collaboration with other departments to ensure estimates are accurate and complete.
• Cost monitoring: assist in tracking and analyzing project costs and flag potential cost overruns.
• Communication: communicate regularly with crew members, subcontractors, and team members to support project schedules and budgets.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear during site visits.
• Learn and develop skills with on-the-job learning opportunities and exposure to estimating software.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Estimating Intern to join our team. As a part‑time student worker, you will work alongside experienced estimators, learn valuable skills, and contribute to the success of our project bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Cost Estimates: Support the estimating team in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to help determine scope of work and costs.

Compensation
