Job summary

McCownGordon Construction seeks a qualified Estimator to assist in setting up and developing project estimates. You will leverage estimating platforms to ensure accurate, consistent numbers while supporting bid preparation and quantity surveying.

In this role, you will participate in preconstruction activities, attend project meetings, and coordinate with trade partners to obtain complete proposals. Strong MS Office skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years commercial construction in estimating or project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Lead Estimator in setting up the estimate.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of estimating platforms and systems to contribute to accurate estimates.
• Expands understanding of preconstruction processes across project conditions and scopes.
• Attends project meetings and produces meeting minutes.
• May pursue cross-training opportunities within the organization.
• Manages RFIs, Prebid notes and questions.
• Presents information to internal McCownGordon team efficiently.
• Attends trade partner networking events.
• Builds and maintains relationships with trade partners through events and scope reviews.
