LPU Batangas is seeking an active, full-time civil engineering student for a hands-on internship in US-based projects. You will read drawings, quantify materials, and support 4D/VR modeling while gaining exposure to 2D takeoff and 3D QTO systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and contractors, site visits, and learning how architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing interactions influence pricing and planning. A GPA of 3.0+ is expected.

Qualifications

• Active, full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Preferred: Previous work or internship experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Preferred: Participation and/or leadership roles in student organizations or extracurricular activities.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
• Survey and quantify materials from drawings.
• Develop knowledge of 2D On-Screen Takeoff/3D QTO technologies and the estimating platform.
• Organize quantity takeoffs for audit.
• Estimate interiors.
• Learn basic structural and civil estimating at DD and construction level drawings.
• Contact and follow-up with trade contractors and suppliers for pricing.
• Utilize collaboration software for document control and distribution.
• Develop knowledge of construction pricing.
• Make recommendations for software upgrades and database pricing changes.
• Become familiar with MEP systems and their interaction with architecture.
• Participate in site visits to apply knowledge in planning.
• Assist the project planning team in developing 4D models and VR/AR applications.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Read and interpret drawings and project specifications
• Survey and quantify materials from drawings
• Develop knowledge of 2D On-Screen Takeoff/3D QTO technologies and the estimating platform
• Organize quantity takeoffs for ease of audit
• Estimate interiors
• Learn basic structural and civil estimating at Design Development and Construction level drawings
• Contact and follow-up with trade contractors and suppliers for pricing
• Utilize collaboration software for document control and distribution
• Develop knowledge of construction pricing
• Make recommendations for software upgrades and database pricing changes
• Become familiar with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their interaction with architecture
• Participate in active project site visits to experience construction processes and apply knowledge in planning
• Assist the project planning team in developing 4D models, Facility Asset Management Models, and utilize Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies
