The Christman Company is offering Estimating Engineer Intern positions in the Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Detroit regions. Interns will learn to read drawings, quantify materials, and develop familiarity with 2D and 3D takeoff technologies while supporting the estimating platform.

Ideal candidates are sophomores to seniors pursuing civil engineering or construction management with a minimum 3.0 GPA and prior exposure to commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Active student pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Previous work or internship experience in the commercial construction industry is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
• Survey/quantify materials from drawings.
• Develop knowledge of takeoff technologies and estimating platform.
• Organize quantity takeoffs for audit.
