Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a tax fiduciary accountant.
• Experience with probate and fiduciary accounting processes.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect, analyze, abstract, organize and maintain facts and documents (wills, trust documents).
• Maintain financial statements and spreadsheets for client investments for tax prep.
• Prepare U.S. federal and state estate tax returns (Form 706 and state equivalents).
• Prepare fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041 and state equivalents).
• Prepare individual and non-profit tax returns (Form 1040, 709, 5227).
• Prepare trust and estate accountings and related filings.
• Address IRS notices and track deadlines for filings.
