Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a Paralegal for our established Arizona estate planning practice in Scottsdale. You will draft wills and trusts, file probate pleadings, and manage estate procedures from intake to closing, collaborating with attorneys and staff.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in wills, trusts, estates or probate, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and legal software like Clio. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant wills, trusts, estates, probate, or estate planning experience required.
• Working knowledge of probate procedures, estate administration timelines, and estate planning document workflows.
• Strong organization, proofreading, communication, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, e-filing systems, calendaring tools, and legal practice management software.
• Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent legal experience preferred.
• Clio experience, probate accounting experience, trust administration knowledge, and Notary commission are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, affidavits, and related estate planning documents.
• Prepare and file probate pleadings, petitions, notices, orders, inventories, and other court documents.
• Manage estate, probate, and trust administration files from intake through closing.
• Track court deadlines, case calendars, asset information, creditor claims, beneficiary information, and matter status.
• Coordinate estate planning document execution, signing meetings, witnesses, notarization, and post-execution organization.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, courts, financial institutions, title companies, and other parties.
• Assist with estate asset collection, trust funding, real property transfers, and beneficiary documentation.
• Conduct legal and factual research involving estate planning, probate, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, and related matters.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical files while supporting attorneys with intake, hearings, document production, and case preparation.
