Job summary

Orionplacement in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a paralegal with hands-on experience in wills, trusts, estates, and probate to join our established estate planning practice. You will manage files from intake through closing and coordinate with attorneys and clients.

This full-time, on-site role offers meaningful ownership of matters, collaborative work with a dedicated legal team, and room to grow in sophisticated estate planning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant wills, trusts, estates, probate, or estate planning experience required.
• Working knowledge of probate procedures and estate administration timelines.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters while collaborating with attorneys and staff.
• Proficiency with MS Office, e-filing systems, calendaring tools, and practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, affidavits, and related estate planning documents.
• Prepare and file probate pleadings, petitions, notices, orders, inventories, and other court documents.
• Manage estate, probate, and trust administration files from intake through closing.
• Track court deadlines, case calendars, asset information, creditor claims, beneficiary information, and matter status.
• Coordinate estate planning document execution, signing meetings, witnesses, notarization, and post-execution organization.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, courts, financial institutions, title companies, and other parties.
• Assist with estate asset collection, trust funding, real property transfers, and beneficiary documentation.
• Conduct legal and factual research involving estate planning, probate, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, and related matters.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical files while supporting attorneys with intake, hearings, document production, and case preparation.
