Job summary

The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is seeking an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal to support attorneys in estate planning, probate, guardianship, wills and trust matters. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and collaboration across a busy Texas practice.

You will draft and file court documents, manage calendars, and assist with discovery and trial preparation while working in a hybrid Houston-based environment with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of estate planning/probate experience (TX); 5+ years preferred.
• Associate's degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Excellent typing skills and proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Proficiency in Clio and TxDoc or similar software.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and highly organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of estate planning, probate, guardianship, wills, and trust matters.
• Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, orders, and other court documents.
• Prepare and respond to discovery, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing documents.
• File documents with courts (e-filing and in-person) and ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Maintain and update case calendars, including hearings, deadlines, client meetings, and court appearances.
• Prepare trial and hearing binders, exhibits, witness lists, and related materials.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally.
• Organize electronic and physical case files for accuracy and accessibility.
• Coordinate signing appointments and assist with execution of estate planning documents.
• Perform legal research and contribute to case strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys and team members to move cases forward.
• Other duties as assigned to support estate planning and probate practice.
