Job summary

McCarthy & Akers, PLC is seeking a Drafting Legal Assistant to prepare estate planning documents, gather client information, and format packages under attorney guidance. You will manage revisions, maintain clear client communication, and assist in the signing ceremony to finalize client plans.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, rapid learning, and professional interaction with clients and team members. Training on drafting software is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; associate/bachelor's a plus.
• Experience in admin support or detail-oriented work preferred.
• Law-firm, legal assistant, or paralegal experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft estate planning documents and packages (training provided).
• Format drafts for client review and revise per attorney notes.
• Make 10–20 new files per week plus 5–10 revisions weekly.
• Coordinate client information gathering and ensure timely responses to clients and attorneys.
