Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney for a Reston, VA-based role. The attorney will handle estate planning, probate matters, and wealth preservation strategies for clients of a well-known mid-size firm.

The candidate must have a JD, be admitted to the state bar, and possess at least 5 years of estate planning experience, including drafting documents and advising on tax issues. This on-site, permanent position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate, and tax law.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret tax laws, rulings, and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
• Draft, review, and revise wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
• Provide sound legal advice on estate planning, wealth preservation, and asset protection.
• Represent clients in probate court proceedings and handle probate administration.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.
• Conduct thorough research on complex legal issues related to estate planning and wealth preservation.
