Orion Placement in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a full-time attorney with expertise in estate planning and elder law to join our boutique practice. You will meet with firm-provided clients, explain options, draft customized plans, and guide matters from consultation through signing.

Licensed in Ohio or able to become licensed promptly, with 2+ years of relevant experience; strong drafting, client communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Ohio Bar license or ability to become licensed promptly.
• 2+ years of estate planning and/or elder law experience.
• Strong estate planning drafting and legal writing skills.
• Ability to explain sophisticated legal concepts in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Meet with firm-provided prospective clients to understand goals, explain options, and recommend estate planning strategies.
• Counsel existing clients on reviewing, updating, and strengthening their estate plans as circumstances change.
• Design customized estate plans with attention to needs of seniors and their families.
• Draft and oversee wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
• Lead client consultations, document signings, and final plan delivery meetings.
• Explain complex legal concepts clearly so clients understand their plans and next steps.
• Maintain accurate, organized client files and ensure consistency across documents.
• Collaborate with our team to deliver an outstanding client experience from consultation through completion.
