Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced attorney to join its estates practice in Pennsylvania. The role involves drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents, with direct client engagement.

You will handle probate and estate administration, assist with trust administration, and research complex tax and fiduciary issues while collaborating with seasoned attorneys and professionals to deliver sophisticated planning strategies.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
  • Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of estate planning and/or estate and trust administration experience.
  • Experience drafting estate planning and administration documents.
  • Working knowledge of Pennsylvania probate and trust law and applicable federal estate and tax laws.
  • Strong legal research, writing, organization, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and revise wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents.
  • Handle probate and estate administration matters including petitions, inventories, accountings, and distributions.
  • Assist with trust administration, beneficiary communications, trust accountings, and asset distributions.
  • Research estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer tax, fiduciary, probate, and trust law issues.
  • Analyze client assets, family circumstances, and long-term objectives to help develop effective estate planning strategies.
  • Work directly with clients, fiduciaries, financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals throughout the planning and administration process.
  • Participate in client consultations, document executions, and post-death administration meetings.
  • Manage estate planning and administration matters efficiently while providing responsive, detail-oriented client service.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys on sophisticated planning and administration matters.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
