Job summary

The Chavez Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving low-income families across the region through affordable housing and social service programs. The Community Service Coordinator oversees the Si Se Puede Community Center programs and related activities, supervising residents, volunteers, and student interns, and building partnerships to meet site needs.

Qualifications

• Preferred - Have at least 48 units of college credit from a two-year accredited college or related experience in Education/Youth Development/Community Services
• Preferably bilingual
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Access) required

Responsibilities

• Maintain all ethical practices of the Chavez Foundation by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism
• Manage all Si Se Puede Community Center Programs, which consist of an Afterschool Program, Resident Social Services, Meal Distribution, Health and Wellness and Community Outreach
• Friendly, outgoing personality that establishes a welcoming environment within the facility for members and visitors
