Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy manual work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Walks alongside or rides on the back of a truck to collect trash, yard waste, or recyclables.
• Dumps waste into a pull-cart or rear packer truck and returns containers to curb.
• Operates packing equipment and assists in dumping loads at disposal sites.
• Directs traffic and guides the truck operator in congested areas.
• Answers questions from citizens regarding collection procedures.
• Performs other job-related tasks as required.
