Job summary

ESS seeks a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Biological Science at North Penn Mansfield High School in Blossburg, PA. You will provide instruction in the absence of the regular teacher, follow lesson plans, and ensure classroom routines are maintained.

The role requires PA Teacher Certification in Biological Science and completion of mandated clearances/training. It is a temporary assignment supporting student learning for the school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PA teaching certification in Biological Science.
• Clearance and training requirements per PA law (Arrest/Conviction, Criminal History, Child Abuse, Suicide and Wellness disclosures).
• TB test/physical and ongoing professional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
