Job summary

ESS is seeking an ESS-Certified Middle Level ELA or English 7-12 substitute teacher for Scottdale, PA in the Southmoreland School District. The role involves following and teaching lesson plans, aiding students, and maintaining regular classroom routines.

Qualifications

• PA Act 24 Arrest/Conviction clearance required.
• Act 34, Act 114 clearances required.
• Act 126 suicide prevention and Act 151 child abuse clearances.
• Tuberculosis test completed and up to date.

Responsibilities

Substitute Teacher

An ESS substitute teacher assists with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. This person follows and teaches lesson plans, aids students in understanding subject matter, and ensures that regular classroom routines are followed.
