Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. seeks an ESS Design Engineer to design, install, test and implement electronic security systems supporting US government missions. The role requires a active DoD Secret clearance, CONUS travel, and work from a remote/field location with occasional international travel.

You will engage in site surveys, create design solutions, and coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 8 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience with electronic security manufacturers and CCTV/Access control systems.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Ability to travel up to 70% and work in diverse locations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site surveys and gather data for design and installation.
• Support design of electronic security systems from concept to final product.
• Generate material lists for design efforts.
• Participate in design reviews as required.
• Perform Pre-Installation, Testing and Check Out activities.
• Utilize manufacturer literature and government standards in design.
• Assist with scope, specification, and budget for proposals.
• Install and service electronic equipment in field environments.
