Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. seeks an ESS Design Engineer to support operations in Charleston, SC, with possible travel to Italy, Bahrain, and the UK. This CONUS full-time role requires a DoD Secret clearance and may be subject to SCLS/SCA.

You will design, install, test, and implement electronic security systems to meet government standards, working under the Systems Engineer Lead and supporting site surveys, design reviews, and field deployments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma
• 8 years of hands-on experience
• Strong working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security manufacturers such as Lenel, AMAG, DMP, Software House, FLIR, Hirsch, MDI, Bosch, Pelco, Genetec, HID, and Axis
• Working knowledge of operating systems for ACS, IDS, CCTV systems
• Experience in installation, testing, and troubleshooting of ESS components
• Ability to read ICD drawings and electrical schematics
• Must have a current and active DoD Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Participate in site surveys and data gathering for design and installation
• Support design of ESS solutions from concept to final product
• Generate material lists for design efforts
• Participate in design reviews per contract requirements
• Perform PITCO activities in the engineering facility
• Leverage manufacturer literature during solution development
• Use documentation and standards to support design and installation
• Assist with scope, specifications, and budget for proposals
• Perform physical installation activities at various locations
• Install, repair, and service electronic equipment in field installations
