Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions and suggest items.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer requests using proper equipment; handle transactions per company practices.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items and inform them of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Use coffee shop equipment and inventory ingredients according to guidelines.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads, promotions and seasonal items.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
