Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-focused associate at our Dayton, OH store to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers, answer questions, and promote products while upholding safety and company standards.

Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking and labeling merchandise, handling beverages, and ensuring freshness and accuracy of orders. We encourage teamwork and provide training and growth opportunities within Store Operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome by answering questions about products within the department and store
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond with suggestions
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and handle transactions
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials
• Provide fresh products in correct portion sizes and monitor freshness
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs
• Use equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines; label, stock, and inventory merchandise
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take action as needed
• Operate espresso machines, blenders, scales, and steamers
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts constructively
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
